For too many veterans, hunger comes before homelessness as the impossible choice between groceries and rent leaves families going without food. We are helping change that by funding meals for veterans and their families who have fallen through the cracks of existing support systems. Through grants to organizations providing monthly food assistance, we have put weeks’ worth of free groceries into the hands of veterans who can no longer work, caregivers stretched beyond their means, and families who simply have nowhere else to turn.
